Dear 4th Grade Parents,
We hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend. This week we will have our second AzMerit test on Tuesday.. Please make sure your child gets plenty of sleep on Monday night and eats a nutritious breakfast on Tuesday.

Academics this week:
Language Arts:
- Writing/Grammar: This week, students will begin their Revolutionary War research project. Please be sure to check homework folders for a timeline and rubric to help your scholar find sources.
- This week in literature, we will continue reading Mr. Bowditch and discuss key vocabulary words as well as the character development.
Science: We will take our plants and flowers quiz on Wednesday and then begin our unit on the respiratory system.
Math: This week we will take our area and perimeter quiz on Tuesday and then begin adding and subtracting decimals.
History: We will begin our unit on the American Revolution and begin learning about the 13 Colonies in the 1700s.
